International Consortium for Clean Energy
Welcome to the International Consortium for Clean Energy (ICCE). The ICCE is composed of The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and the Institute for Coal Chemistry, both in China, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), in Richland, Washington. The three organizations have joined forces to develop innovative technologies for producing energy from coal.
With demand for energy, both electricity and transportation fuels, increasing, despite efficiency gains, coal usage is going to increase in both countries. Our challenge, on the research side, is to make it happen cleanly and economically. Together, we can make important strides in this effort.
